Privacy

CodeKhoj is built to work without knowing who you are. This page describes exactly what the site, as currently built, stores and sends.

No analytics, ads or cookies

CodeKhoj has no analytics, no advertising and no cookies. There are no accounts, and the search boxes are not forms that post what you type to our server: searches run in your browser, as described below. The search boxes only work with JavaScript; with it turned off they stay switched off, so pressing Enter sends nothing.

Your searches

Searches run in your browser. To answer a search, your browser downloads a small data file from this site, and the file's name reveals part of what you looked for: the first three digits of a pincode, the first letters of a place or office name, or a bank code. A pincode or IFSC lookup page also puts the code in its web address so you can share or bookmark it. Those requests reach our web server like any other page request.

Server logs

Once the site is hosted, the web server keeps standard access logs. Logs of this kind typically record the address requested, the time, the visitor's IP address and the browser's user-agent string. They are used to operate and protect the site.

What is stored on your device

Only one item, and only if you use “Save” on a result:

Browser storage keyWhat it holds
pincode-ifsc-lookup-saved-v1The pincodes and IFSCs you chose to save (up to 30), each with a short label from the result, such as the office or branch name.

It is stored in your browser's local storage, never sent to us, and stays until you remove it. If your browser blocks storage, saving lasts only until you leave the page.

Saved items on this device: checking…

You can also clear it with your browser's “clear site data” setting.

If analytics or advertising is ever added, this page will be updated before it goes live. Questions: usingh@racingpoint.in.
